Physical Therapist

Ashlee Schouten, DPT

Ashlee is originally from South Lake Tahoe and traveled 103 miles to participate in every club practice and game with Placer United. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology while competing in Division I soccer at Sacramento State. During her time in Sacramento, Ashlee also played semi-professionally with Cal Storm for four years, including the opportunity to compete against the Chinese Women’s National Team in 2021.

Throughout her athletic career, Ashlee faced multiple challenges with injuries, undergoing five knee surgeries, a broken foot, and a torn acetabular labrum. Despite these setbacks, she persevered and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from South College in Tennessee. For the past year, she has been working at an outpatient clinic in Washington state.

Ashlee’s connection to MAC began as a patient, and she later joined the team as an intern to complete observation hours. She furthered her involvement as a student physical therapist during a clinical rotation and is now excited to return as a licensed physical therapist.
